Position Overview

As a Financial Adviser at Old Mutual, your primary responsibility will be to build and manage your own client portfolio. You will market and sell a range of Old Mutual financial products, while also contributing positively to the financial wellbeing of your clients. By developing strong and trusted relationships, you will help clients make informed decisions that align with their long-term financial goals.

This is a client-facing role that requires an energetic, self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering customer-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a loyal client base through proactive prospecting and consistent client engagement.
  • Promote and sell Old Mutual’s wide range of financial products to new and existing customers.
  • Work within specific allocated markets and adhere to Old Mutual’s market segmentation and product focus.
  • Use effective communication and interpersonal skills to understand client needs and provide appropriate financial solutions.
  • Establish strong working relationships with clients and key stakeholders to maximize business opportunities.
  • Provide professional presentations when necessary to promote product understanding and enhance customer experience.
  • Maintain ethical standards and comply with regulatory requirements, including keeping a clean credit and criminal record.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Matric / Senior Certificate (Compulsory)
  • Experience: Previous experience in the financial services industry will be advantageous.
  • Compliance: Must have a clear criminal and credit record.
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; presentation skills will be an added advantage.
