Position Overview

As an Administrative Assistant in our transport division, you will ensure the smooth coordination of fleet activities. Your role involves supporting the transport supervisor, handling essential paperwork, tracking vehicles, and maintaining driver and vehicle records.

This is a full-time, on-site role perfect for someone with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Whether you’re looking to gain experience through a learnership or ready for a permanent role, we welcome your application.


Core Responsibilities

  • Receive and verify PODs (Proof of Delivery) from drivers daily
  • Monitor and collect completed vehicle inspection checklists, addressing any irregularities
  • Assist the Transport Supervisor with administrative duties including reports, document management, and compliance tracking
  • Keep detailed logs of vehicle movements and report any delays or incidents
  • Ensure all records (driver logs, maintenance schedules, transport documents) are accurately filed and updated
  • Liaise with drivers and internal departments to resolve transport or scheduling issues
  • Perform general office tasks such as data entry, document scanning, and filing

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12 certificate (essential)
  • 1–2 years of experience in an admin support role, preferably in transportation or logistics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Valid Driver’s License (required)
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic understanding of fleet operations and logistics procedures
