Available Learnership Programmes

The following NQF-accredited learnerships are currently available:

  1. Electrical Engineering – NQF Level 2
    • Number of learners: 15
    • Minimum requirement: Grade 10 with Mathematics
    • Reference Number: 02
  2. Water and Wastewater Treatment – NQF Level 2
    • Number of learners: 15
    • Minimum requirement: Grade 12
    • Reference Number: 03
  3. Water and Wastewater Reticulation – NQF Level 2
    • Number of learners: 15
    • Minimum requirement: Grade 12
    • Reference Number: 04
  4. Landscape – NQF Level 3
    • Number of learners: 30
    • Minimum requirement: Grade 12
    • Reference Number: 05

Who Can Apply?

To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a South African citizen aged between 18 and 45 years.
  • Reside within the Polokwane Municipality.
  • Be currently unemployed.
  • Not have participated in any previous Learnership or ARPL programme.
  • Be willing to undergo security screening as part of the selection process.

How to Apply

Interested candidates must submit their applications in person to:

Application Requirements:

  • A signed cover letter stating the Learnership programme and the corresponding reference number.
  • A certified copy of your South African ID.
  • Certified copies of your academic qualifications.
  • Proof of residence, stamped by an authorized traditional leader or obtained from the municipality (rates and taxes).

Important: If applying for more than one programme, please submit a separate application for each.

Deadline to Apply

Closing Date: 24 June 2025

If you do not receive feedback within three months of the closing date, please consider your application unsuccessful. The City of Polokwane thanks all applicants for their interest.
