Requirements

  • Grade 12 qualification.
  • No prior work experience required.
  • Knowledge of basic work procedures, including cleaning equipment and maintaining a clean working environment.
  • Skills required include basic numeracy and literacy, good communication, sound human relations, ability to perform routine tasks, and basic interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
  • Willingness to work under pressure and function well within a team.
  • Must be prepared to rotate duties and work shifts.
  • Must be physically fit and willing to perform physical labour.
  • Employees are legally required to wear protective clothing at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cleaning of floors, doors, walls, windows, beds, bed lockers, steps, and other assigned areas.
  • Performing all general indoor and outdoor cleaning duties.
  • Operating cleaning equipment such as polishing machines.
  • Using cleaning chemicals correctly and safely.
  • Assisting with additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Where applicable, candidates may also be required to undergo a skills or knowledge assessment.
