Role Purpose
Are you an unemployed youth residing in Gauteng and looking for an opportunity to build a successful career in the health insurance industry? Momentum Health is offering an exciting Learnership opportunity for motivated, service-driven individuals who are eager to learn and grow.
This 12-month Learnership programme will run from 01 February 2026 to 31 January 2027 and combines structured theoretical learning with practical workplace experience.
What is a Learnership?
A Learnership is a structured work-based learning programme that integrates theory and practical experience. Successful learners will work towards an Occupational Certificate: Health Care Benefits Advisor (NQF Level 5, SAQA ID 105030).
While completion of the Learnership does not guarantee permanent employment, it provides valuable industry exposure and equips learners with skills that enhance employability within the medical aid administration and insurance sectors.
Minimum Requirements
- Completed Grade 12 (Matric)
- Mathematics with at least 40% or Mathematical Literacy with a minimum of 60%
- English and one other South African language passed with at least 50%
- Computer literacy will be advantageous
- Currently unemployed and able to commit to a 12-month programme
- South African citizen aged between 18 and 30 years
- Not studying (full-time or part-time) at a tertiary institution during the Learnership
- Must not have previously completed the same Learnership
- Able to commute independently to the workplace

- Certified copies of ID and Matric certificate (not older than three months) must be uploaded
Duties and Responsibilities
- Attend all classroom-based training and on-the-job learning activities
- Perform duties in line with the Learnership requirements set by Momentum Metropolitan
- Gain an understanding of company products, systems, policies, and procedures
- Compile and maintain a Portfolio of Evidence for SETA submission
- Complete work-based learning logbooks
- Successfully complete all formative and summative assessments
- Demonstrate proficiency in company systems and operational processes
- Uphold Momentum Metropolitan values and conduct yourself professionally at all times
- Successfully pass the EISA examination
