Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme – 2025 Intake

Eskom, in partnership with the YES programme, is offering 12-month work opportunities across all provinces of South Africa. These placements provide candidates with invaluable exposure, practical experience, and professional growth within Eskom’s various operational units.

Minimum Requirements:

To apply, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Be a South African citizen
Be between the ages of 18 and 34
Have a Grade 12 / Matric certificate or equivalent qualification
Possess a post-matric certificate or further education (advantageous)

Key Conditions:

Please note the following eligibility conditions:

You must not have been permanently employed by a single employer for more than 12 months
You must not be studying full-time in the year of the YES placement
You must not have previously participated in any YES programme
All candidates will undergo a selection and recruitment process

Successful candidates will be offered a one-year contract and placed in various Eskom divisions, depending on operational needs.
