Departments & Key Responsibilities
1. Parks & Cemeteries
- Grave digging and site preparation
- Landscaping and horticultural maintenance
- General park upkeep and beautification
2. Solid Waste Management
- Door-to-door refuse collection
- Street and public space cleaning
- Managing illegal dumping
- Domestic, trade, and special waste removal
- Disposal site operations
3. Roads, Water & Sanitation
- Roads and stormwater maintenance
- Water demand management and leak repairs
- Sewer purification and vacuum services
4. Other Municipal Support Services
- Facilities maintenance and cleaning
- Fresh Produce Market assistance
Minimum Requirements
- Basic literacy (Grade 8 or equivalent)
- Ability to communicate in at least two official languages used in Mangaung
- Willingness to work outside normal hours, including emergencies and planned overtime
